Recently, the Ministry of Education formally wrote to the people's government of Guizhou Province, agreeing that Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine should be renamed Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The orientation of the school is a multi-disciplinary undergraduate school with undergraduate education as its main task and postgraduate training as its main task. It focuses on training technical, applied and compound talents needed for regional economic and social development.
This is the result of the strong leadership of the provincial government of Guizhou Provincial Committee, the full support of the Provincial Education Department of the Provincial Committee of Education and Work, and the hard struggle of medical staff and students. It is also an important milestone in the history of school development and a new achievement in the development of higher education and traditional Chinese medicine in Guizhou.
