Guizhou Communications Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public university approved by Guizhou Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. College is a comprehensive vocational college with traffic characteristics, and it is also the only national demonstration vocational college in Guizhou Province. In 2017, the College became the first high-quality vocational colleges in Guizhou Province to set up projects, and the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units. At present, the College has three campuses, Yangguan, Qingzhen and Changling, covering an area of more than 1680 mu, with eight departments (Road and Bridge Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Management Engineering, Construction Engineering, Information Engineering, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Track Engineering), two (Basic Education, Adult Education), one (Driving Technology School) and one (Guizhou Province). Traffic Technician College, which covers the field of transportation and related industries, including road and Bridge Engineering technology, automobile application technology, construction engineering technology, construction machinery control technology, four major demonstration specialties for national higher vocational colleges. More than 18,000 full-time students are enrolled.
Over the years, adhering to the school motto of "unity of knowledge and practice, virtue and technology" and adhering to the idea of "relying on industry, running schools with characteristics; collaborative innovation, opening and sharing", the College has inherited and innovated the mode of "factory-in-school, school-in-factory, doing-in-school and learning-in-school", which has been recognized by the society and the state and is praised as the "Guizhou Jiaotong mode" of Vocational education.
As the only "National Demonstrative Higher Vocational and Technical College" in Guizhou Province, the College takes "providing talent support for transportation construction and economic development in Guizhou Province" as its responsibility, and provides talent guarantee and intellectual support for the development of transportation industry. It is the main export base of transportation talents in Guizhou Province, and is praised as "the cradle of transportation talents in Guizhou Province".


贵州交通职业技术学院是经贵州省人民政府批准成立，国家教育部备案的全日制公办普通高校。学院是一所以交通为特色的综合性高职院校，也是贵州省目前唯一的国家示范性高职，2017年，学院成为贵州省首批优质高职院校立项建设单位，第二批现代学徒制试点单位。学院目前设阳关、清镇、长岭三校区，占地面积1680余亩，下设八系（道路与桥梁工程系、汽车工程系、管理工程系、建筑工程系、信息工程系、机械电子工程系、物流工程系、轨道工程系）、二部（基础教学部、成人教育部）、一校（驾驶技工学校）、一院（贵州交通技师学院），开设专业涵盖交通运输领域及相关行业，其中道路桥梁工程技术、汽车运用技术、建筑工程技术、工程机械控制技术四个专业为国家高职高专示范专业。全日制在校生18000余人。
